Ready to take your knitting skills to the next level? Let's talk socks!

Ever wanted to knit your own cosy, handmade socks but weren't quite sure where to start? This one's for you!

Join us at Tauranga Knitting Centre for a fun, relaxed 3-week sock knitting course, where you'll learn the skills and techniques to knit your very own pair of socks.

Our friendly instructor will guide you through the process, from casting on and knitting in the round to tackling those mysterious heels and toes!

What you'll learn

• Knitting in the round using the magic loop technique
• Casting on and creating the cuff and leg
• Turning a heel (it's not as scary as it sounds!)
• Shaping the foot and toe
• Finishing techniques and tips for your next pair

There'll be a little knitting homework between sessions, so you can practise your new skills and keep your socks growing!

📅 When: 3 consecutive Thursday mornings, 12^th, 19^th, 26^th November
🕠 Time: 9.30am–11.00am
📍 Where: Tauranga Knitting Centre, Eleventh Avenue Plaza, Tauranga
💰 Cost: $110 per person (for all 3 sessions)

Is this class for me?

This course is designed for confident beginners and intermediate knitters.

You'll need to be comfortable casting on, knitting, purling and following basic knitting instructions. You don't need any previous sock knitting experience — that's what we're here to teach you!

By the end of the course, you'll have learned the skills to knit your own socks, with the confidence to finish your pair at home and start your next one.

Spaces are limited to just 6 participants, with a minimum of 4 required for the course to go ahead.

Booking & Cancellation Policy

Payment is required in full to secure your place.

• Cancellations made 7 days or more before the course begins will receive a full refund.
• Cancellations made less than 7 days before the start date are non-refundable, unless we can fill your place.
• No refunds are available once the course has started or for missed sessions.
• If Tauranga Knitting Centre needs to cancel the course, a full refund will be provided.
